I don't know what brought you here, but I have a feeling something did. Maybe something I shared felt a little too familiar. Maybe you saw yourself in a story that wasn't technically yours. And when you followed along, I felt that. I don't take it lightly when someone decides to stay and see what this space is about, so before anything else, thank you for choosing to follow along. That matters to me more than you probably know.
You're functioning. You're doing what needs to be done. You're showing up. And still, somewhere underneath all of it, there might be this quiet feeling that something isn't quite right anymore.
I know that feeling because I've lived inside it more times than I can count. I know what it's like to be misunderstood, picked apart, or to walk into a room full of people and still not feel completely at home. I know what it's like to find ways to numb the things I didn't yet know how to carry.
No matter how different the details are, I believe we're all carrying the same underlying emotions underneath them, even when the experiences look nothing alike. So whatever it looks like in your own life, I want you to know you are not carrying it alone.
I'm not writing this from some imaginary finish line where I've healed every wound and figured it all out. I'm still changing. I'm still learning. I'm still discovering that things I once believed about myself aren't necessarily true. You're allowed to do that here too.
That's part of why Come Break Free exists, and why building this community means so much to me. This isn't a place where I tell you who you should become. It's a place where we get quiet enough to hear who we already are, together. A place for conversations that connect us to a deeper understanding of ourselves, where reflection doesn't become judgment and growth doesn't require rejecting who we used to be.
You are not the only person quietly figuring this out. Neither am I.
No matter what brought you here, stay awhile. Take what connects. Question what doesn't. Trust yourself enough to know the difference.
I am so glad you are here.
Love,
Megan
